I dug pretty deep into what I'd done on mTurk that'd compare to the kinds of tasks they had listed on their website and they seemed to like that. (I also have some programming experience, if not hugely extensive, and that seemed to help my case as well.) Had no problem hearing back on the initial qual, got a very pleased email on the project qual I did with very quick access to a big pile of work/Slack/extensive help documents (and have been paid exactly on time for the work I've done so far)
Not trying to be rude here, but I get the impression they pay better than mTurk because they're a bit more specialized. If all you've done here is answer surveys and do batches, it might not be a good fit and that's why you're not hearing back.

**edited to add: which isn't to say that any individual worker should feel bad that there isn't the variety of work on here that there used to be 5+ years ago. There just really isn't.
