They have a sales team. I very highly doubt they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. They just seem to be a lot more hands on, and their own way of keeping people from hoarding all of the high paying studies. They don't leave us to the wolves cough mturk cough.
Tho I have to admit, when they say they their minimum hourly is like $8-9 (I think), they still have those little 4.35/hr (for example) studies...that's stretching the truth a bit.
Honestly, the best thing to happen to remesh was to move it to prolific. I rarely qualify, even without being a bot. But it drove me nuts seeing garbage participants whenever they were around on mturk.

Mturk is batchy batchy and prolific is the joy of the exchange rate. Also, that neat new blue they have! (lol)

I hope I'm not starting anything, just giving my tuppence.
