10/14 - Eclipse Saturday!

well, i got banned from mturk 2 weeks ago on the 29th of september. 300000 hits completed with 99.5+ approval. kind of at a loss for what to do, i emailed their account appeals email about 5 times, i talked to turkopticon, and they said they would email their person for me as well.

is there anything people would suggest i do? or do i just have to play the waiting game? i searched and seen that laby was banned and unbanned recently with no explanation at all lol. so frustrating when mturk was a decent chunk of income for me.

also for some context, thinking i was either banned for VPN usage(yup im an idiot and connected to mturk when i was on a VPN on accident..more than once) or a recently hard block i got from data label survey(auto blocked for doing a hit too quickly). other than that it could have been something with the DAC7 thing maybe, got banned 1 day before deadline, but i think i filled it out months ago any way.

Don't second guess yourself or admit to any wrongdoing. Likely it's not you, it's the system and maybe AI is running the show. Good luck.

 

Is anyone else getting a message saying our servers are getting hit hard, followed by a captcha that you have to enter? I just started turking again, and I've never seen this before.

yea i feel like they just have some very very bad internals right now(and always have tbh) unfortunate for those who get punished for nothing

yeaa, ive looked lots and lots for any number to call on old posts about people being banned, i could not find any number for anything, and yea i doubt it would do any good any way. just gotta play the waiting game i guess

 

There was a time when Turkers with a 99%+ approval rating were respected. I don't know what happened....
Try emailing that appeals link and let them know there must be a glitch in their system since you're a long time turker with a very high rating, and there's no reason for this ban.
