can someone who is good at money or math help? I found this that says you get 5.5% interest through the end of the year. but do you get the5.5% paid on your money every month, or once a year, or what?

if you put $100 in there, and you get 5.5% interest once a month, then you get $5.50 each month. if it's added once a month. but if it's added once a year, you only get $5.50 in a year.
