08/28 - Out of Order Wednesday

They probably wouldn't care unless it's one of the few who still drop a lot of money on MTurk.

 

from my dashboard, I clicked my name in upper in right corner, then I clicked "manage payment preferences". it gave that same error as when I try to accept a hit.

 

This is the kind of stuff I was mentioning, anything that calls out to the payments servers or account status throws back an error.

 

I signed up for connect and filled stuff out and I only got 1 hit. waste of time and made me not want to go to any trouble signing up for other sites.

 

afaik my mturk account wasn't suspended. if definitely worked great for 1-2 weeks until yesterday afternoon same as other people.

 

Connect makes me around $10/week. Prolific anywhere from $20 to $50. Turk has always been the best for me, even during these leaner times if there are closed quals to do I can still pop up to $350/week.

Better come up again soon.

 

Wow, I made the most I've ever made in 1 week on MTurk... $43. When I signed up back in 2008, I tried a lot of different surveys and got rejected quite a few times until I got the hang of it. I'm still struggling to get up to 99%, I'm at 98.7% now, so soon some of that will open up for me I hope.

 

set up your notifications. specifically, the one on your dashboard for browser notifications. there are also others under the setting icon for email and sms if you want those. You have to work your quality score up to 850 to get a lot of stuff.

you guys I'm getting anxious what should we do? especially tomorrow if it's still down? my entire plan for this whole week was to turk a lot. I hadn't had much time for years and I cleared out last week and this next few weeks to turk. I mean I know it will get fixed but until then _________?

They've only been around since March of last year so they are still super new but they are the ones that give the major qual on turk (CR1 and CR2 and whatever they call it now).

 

Call Papa Bezos and tell him to get his ass to the office.

 

My plan so far is consists of getting as much sleep as I can before they fix, then try to make up the lost hours.
