I don't know why it just know occured to me to check my husbands account, probably because he hasn't used it in years.

My husband's acoount (less than 10 years old) is workig fine and we have the same bank linked to amazon (different accounts)

 

Yeah, I tried Windows co-pilot for the first time a couple of months ago on a monday, asked it what the date and time was in my area, and it continously told me it was Sunday the day before. AI is so not ready yet.

 

I mean, most of them still can't count the r's in strawberry lol. I just like that it gives you the links in the response so you can fact check it yourself. I use it for easy things like why isn't my dog drinking water...

 

This is great - I suggest we all copy and paste this and email it daily. If we all email this once a day maybe they will pay attention.

I thought this was interesting. I searched Mechanical Turk on google and found a Wikipedia page about it. I didn't know there actually was a mechanical turk. The mechanical Turk was an automated chess machine built in 1770 and was a FRAUD. THAT is the reason we're all having problems with it. Amazon's Mechanical Turk is a FRAUD!!!

Holy crap I can’t believe you remember that!!! It’s been so long, lol. You have a good memory! Yes, he signed up for an account a million years ago when I did, did a few HITs here and there, but has a good job now and hasn’t done it since. I had him log in and his actual Mturk account is suspended! Why and when - we have no clue. Maybe because we were in the same household? I told him don’t do anymore poking around, things are crazy enough as it is, don’t want to bring anything else to their attention right now.

 

Well I never thought to look for it or search for it on Wikipedia. I probably looked it up back in 2008, but I've slept since then.

 

oh wow...I'm just remembering now...it was long enough ago that the whole world was different and all the people around me were in completely different circumstances, some of them totally backwards compared to where they are now. that was a long time ago!

I recommend that everyone checks if their personal information was compromised in this latest breach.

Start by doing a Google search, find a trustworthy news article on the topic, and use the resources listed to look up your information. It’s a good idea to freeze your credit reports regardless, but if your data was compromised, I strongly suggest doing it—unless you’re planning to buy a car or house in the next few days. Otherwise, just freeze and unfreeze as needed.

Also, with Amazon security, 2FA is definitely a good idea to use. You can also check which apps, devices, and web browsers your Amazon account is signed into by looking at the compromised account section under Login Security.

If you see a large number here, you should probably sign them all out using this feature. Note: If you use QBC, save yourself some trouble by disabling 2FA before signing back into your account on QBC. Reenable it afterward.

Yes! A very long time ago only good thing about this situation is all my old turking friends are coming out of the woodwork again, lol.
