I didn't get an email about my transfer today, but the money left my mturk current earnings.

That's perfect and what we need to be doing. Do you still have the names of those people? I can be very annoying.

But I just remembered my bank account is relatively new, I had just gotten a new one late last year, so if they're going in order of when your bank account was added to your Mturk account then it's coming for me eventually. Just trying to find a method to the madness here, I really don't know.

Nice... I had changed my banking info just last year from my bank to my Venmo account so I could keep things separate. So it seems we'll be hit around the same time if it is in fact going in that order.

 

Not to be unhelpful, but Amazon has a lot of turnover in departments. Also, I am unsure if you should be bugging Payments people or MTurk people or what. I only bugged the AI and MTurk people and don't think it actually helped, but maybe en masse it would.

It should be simple enough to find a ton of employees once you find a couple, though. It's pretty easy to do.

 

I wonder if we got all the MTurk workers together and held a strike or a protest that caught the attention of the news media would get them to change their non-caring attitude.. I doubt it, but as a last resort it might....

Wake up the media. Let them know the customer service outage Friday was not an isolated incident, just one issue of many.

 

Good afternoon all. I was Turking fine yesterday but just got the Amazon Payments suspension a few moments ago. I am currently writing to them using the contact form, but we'll see if it goes through. If it matters I am in the Midwest USA.

I'm wondering if Amazon Payments is broken and they are just handling it poorly. Or possibly related to the National Data Breach as others have speculated.

 

The last HIT I did was probably around 10:30 - 11:00 this morning. I periodically checked the main HITs page and finally saw a HIT that looked good (the 40-cent PickFu I mentioned) around 12:45, logged in, and instantly got a big bold account suspension notice. I tried to accept the HIT anyway and then I got the message about my 'Account setup is not complete'. I just tried to accept another HIT right now and the same message appears...so, it's still not fixed.

I totally forgot about Labor Day - I imagine that will only push back any resolution another day.

 

Another one bites the dust... I don't think your location in the US matters, I am also in the Midwest and I haven't been affected yet. Nice to meet another Midwesterner...

 

Yes, no worse time for this to really snowball then on a holiday weekend. If Amazon.com is affected enough, they'd have all hands on deck to resolve ASAP. If it's mostly mTurk related as it appears, that seems to me like a Tuesday resolution.

I wonder if it is as @stargazer66 suspects, and it has to do with the date you verified your bank account, If it is, then it is just a matter of time for the rest.
