09/02 - De-stressing Monday

There are four requesters who personally sent me to Prolific to complete longitudinal studies. Are you going to tell me that eliminating half of the workers in a study they are paying for is going to keep them on MTurk? Prolific has continued to grow.

 

Cloudresearch blocked me and told me i am not able to do task on their platform.. Like, what? lol I have prolific account but all i need is to get my ID in check lol.

 

Despite the suspension, my weekly deposit emails came pretty early today and within 10 minutes of each other. Frustrating that the suspension blocks transfer history from being viewed.

 

Screw CloudResearch, they are shady AF. I looked into them a bit and posted here:

not necessarily, a few years ago I was repieatedly having issues withdrawing my money over a period of months same issue over and over, was never fixed until they automated the whole process

 

This is absolutely incorrect. With a regular account suspension, they keep your pay. That's why payouts in this current situation keep getting talked about, it's unusual.

If you have not experienced problems with your account, good for you. But when you are rude to someone from Turkopticon, who has helped many of us, and continues to help, you are a troll.

 

Just wondering, are you a requester/researcher?
Prolific was created by a team of researchers and I’ve been told there’s been quite a few of them that have moved their projects from mturk to prolific already.

14 years for me! But I did know about it for longer than that, wish I had started sooner and gotten some of those closed quals and such.

 

yeah when a bunch of us and someone from the air force were banned earlier this year, amazon kept our pay. it was bad. it was really really bad. @Fearless Turtle was there.

Amazon has repeatedly suggested to affected workers to sign up for a new account, which is also a violation of mTurk's TOS. Not really sure of your point here.

 

I mean, no one is really disputing that, so, yay, great point!

 

Can you elaborate on this or link the place in the TOS, please?

Some requesters have been indulging those of us with suspended accounts with $0 hits and paying with bonus. It's not a big jump in some cases, where the reward was just $.01 and bonus.

 

Wow, not even here for a week and already being like that? I would sit back and learn if I were you...

 

Then I would continue not chatting much...
