10/16- Where's the Beef Wednesday

There are for some things. The ones I'm in will release hundreds/thousands of spots at once and you do them one after the other. You just can't hoard batches like you can on mturk. The amount you're able to do is contingent on how fast you can get through one and if there's still some left when you're done.

can you multitab on prolific? probably not if you can only accept one hit at a time. waiting for page load times reduces the hourly by a lot on penny hits.

not that it wouldn't be worth it, it just depends on if they pay more on prolific because the hourly is lower if multitabbing can't happen there.

 

You can't. They were trial running letting some people hold more than one hit at a time, but I haven't heard anything else about that since I got a notification that I was one of the trial people. As far as I know, I never got that capability.

 

I'm going to try to upload @ObsidianSage 's avatar as my selfie to prolific. see how that goes. the whole sign up get verified thing is a huge hassle so I don't want to.

So even if I get a phone for verification on prolific they want a selfie as well? Do they accept just using your state ID or something or do they specifically want a selfie? I find it strange how many of these sites are wanting you to film your screen and record your voice. I would rather just provide an ID like with Mturk and it would satisfy all the nonsense of phone #s and selfies.

 

prolific emails me links to surveys, then when I click the links, they say I have to send them a photo of my drivers license and a selfie too. and I didn't end up doing it because it looks like it's not like a person checking id's like normal. it's like biometric software and saving your photos in weird ways for questionable purposes that don't really involve verifying identities for a job. so I logged out a little bit ago and didn't do it. looks stinky. just my opinion.

 

I've never had to send Prolific anything. No photo of my license, no self, no phone number, nothing. Then again, I signed up years ago so maybe I got grandfathered in.

 

I think someone said this about connect too. but maybe it's just prolific.

 

it was the 3 cent ones that you had maxed out on earlier in the week. they posted 1-2 more batches that were big after you weren't here. maybe they will post more of those again.

some of them, I have even more super secret batches the thing about prolific is that you never really know what anything is for until you hit the consent page. Most people are lazy and want us to tell them who they are but I'm not effing up my money. Love y'all but NO.
