I'm betting the sequel is going to be a super hot mess, and I'll enjoy every second.

 

I think of weird shit while just trudging through HITs with music in the background.
This came on.

No! Nothing is safe. Apparently "Classic" is synonymous with "Hipster" now. And we can't watch those hipster movies because we have to be different. Don't wanna conform or anything. I'm an individual and all. Oh wait...shit. I just realized. This means..

See, I always thought the horsie was affectionally called "No Name," when I was a kiddo, sorta like how the ghost dog from Nightmare Before Christmas was Zero. I prefer to keep thinking that even when I know it's not really true!

But, then again, I thought Spirit in the Sky was about a really kickass Zeppelin named The Spirit in the Sky and not...ya know, dying. I still like to think about cruising around in a super badass airship all day.

 

Yep. Also a hipster then. Love the sound of my mother in law's vinyl records, love 80s movies, love obscure older music. Shit.

 

And I have one of those. not like that though. too hot.

 

I like your little kid ideas I always liked imagined Spirit in the Sky as an alien and then I got older and realized it was about heaven, lmao.

 

I'll have to call BS on that because Matt didn't see ET, Gremlins, Saturday Night Fever, Top Gun, Goonies, and a bunch of other movies like that until he was an adult and I made him. He saw bits and pieces of some, but never the whole movie. He likes all those movies and quotes them to me constantly. So, I don't buy that as always being the case. Some movies, sure, but that doesn't apply to all. Of course, I'm not limiting this to 80s movies but just cult favorites/popular movies throughout time.

Well I was just actually making fun of the fact that this whole anti-hipster movement thing is in itself hipsterism. They are just too blind to realize it. They want to stand out as individuals and be different from the crowd. It's just now, the people that we have come to call hipsters have grown into quite a large community of people, so all of these people that don't do, say, or wear things because hipsters have are now just doing what they did then.
