I just started a roth ira in may with betterment. I already had already started a regular investment account there last year because I had read good things. It seems to be doing well but I don't really have any comparisons
My investment account is just over a year old and it says my total simple earnings are 10.3% And the iras total simple earnings is .06% I'm not entirely sure what all that means but it's doing a lot better than my savings account does.

There is a cute little thing where you can see what your account will be long term if the market does well or if it does poorly. And there is a retire guide that lets you input your info and tells you what you should be saving to reach your retirement goals. It's the charts and graphs that won me over. I hate math but I like charts.

It might be worth looking into although my financial knowledge is limited so I couldn't speak as to this would be best for you or not. It's good for people who want a hands off approach.

There is a fee of .25% - .50% of what you have invested depending on what plan you get.
