I remember when I was a kid Wendy's charged 25 cents for refills.

 

I've officially lost my mind with folks Grinching about this.

Whether you personally like or believe in Pepe having strong political connotations about it makes absolutely no difference because at this point I've seen enough of it to believe it does & I don't want to give off the air that this place gives a crap about politics. It was being plastered en masse on the forum by half a dozen people - which is too frequent for my tastes.

Yes, sometimes you see a garden gnome's ass and mildly unsuitable for work gifs/discussions pop up but the frequency and prevalence of those things is low & I keep a close eye on pretty much every fact of this place.

Also interestingly enough, I haven't removed anyone's Pepe avatar because I pretty much haven't had to beyond saying "hey guys, this shit looks bad so its not welcome here anymore"

My one and only goal is to keep this place in a half presentable state so people who PAY FOR OUR WORK have a low chance of dropping in at any giving time and being revolted by the place & its inhabitants. Ditto goes for fellow coworkers / to-be coworkers.

But no, multiple people have to complain about snowflakes that do not exist here and certainly have little to no influence on the place because I am the one making decisions and I am many things but certainly am not a snowflake.

I haven't banned anyone in a long time, but my patience has run thin. I have a LOT of work to do in my personal life right now and hand holding people who are just complaining about other people that don't even exist having their hands held is taking far too much of my attention.

 

Yeah, shit, I was reading on the news about Illinois statewide tax increase. Seems pretty nasty and all the sugary drinks won't help with that taste.

 

You should try yoga and breathing exercises. Or weed.

 

I thought people were supposed to ask before refilling your cup? If you see a waiter approaching to refill your drink, can't you just say "no thank you" and have them move on?

 

You should try shutting the fuck up ..... don't tag me in the middle of the night with that shit and then not expect a reply

I was actually trying to show you something interesting. Really not sure how you could take that article as an insult....or a provocation

 

My mom has been forever convinced I have an eating disorder (spoiler alert: I don't, she's just wacky to put it nicely) and we once went to one of those dinner shows and the waiter kept refilling my cup. Part of me registered it, but I was watching the show and just sipping sipping sipping. I consequently had to pee every 20 minutes for the next 3 hours and my mother started following me, an adult woman who had not lived with her since I was 6, into the bathrooms and insisting she could hear me throwing up my dinner to anyone who would listen.

I wasn't, but she loooooved drama.

Moral of the story, I love sugar and caffeine like a hobo loves crack and I will drink a gallon of it if you put it in front of my mouth.
