I think that's a little different though. When someone drives into a group of people, it is pretty bad.

 

18 people died in a bus fire in southern Germany today. Lots of bad things happen around the world.

 

So because one really bad accident happened in some places that's irrelevant to most of us, local news stations can't update local people on what's happening in local traffic via social media?
Edit: I actually misread the original post, but still, something like that doesn't magically deserve to not be news because something worse happened elsewhere.
