Was all it took , I'd reverse just from the lol's having DikDik as a name would give.

 

The monitor looks like it's fine, but it wont connect. I need to do more testing. I have another monitor I should set up to see if my dvi input on the comp is fucked. The a/c unit will get fixed by maintenance, I just have to wait until Monday to talk to them. Modem is getting replaced tomorrow for free too. I don't think anything else was fucked though.

I had everything connected to surge protector except the modem which is why I am confused monitor won't work anymore. It works until I plug the dvi into the computer.

 

He should rename himself to DikDikDikDikDikDikDikDikDik because he definitely has 9 lives.

 

Maybe he already used 7 of them.

Surge protectors won't save you from a lightning strike 100% of the time. A good UPS does a better job at isolating but you prob just have a relatively cheap surge protector.

 

Well, it saved me this time. It's a pretty decent surge. I will def have to replace it now though.

How was the day? I ducked out at like 1 for lunch at a Taqueria and then a car show/bbq at the Yacht Club down the road. Was a really fun time, I love how something is always happening at the waterfront that is 3 blocks from me

 

You might want to have your house's ground checked if it even was this much of an issue. A lot of homes are sitting on old rods that needed to be replaced years ago. (earth rods don't last forever). Or if it is a common thing to have bad weather like this it might be worth getting a proper lightning rod installed.

Actually you prob rent or some shit but you could still give your landlord or w/e a heads up that they might want to check the shit out.

If you can find 1-2-Switch for like $10 used or something it might be worth picking up. But at $50 it isn't worth it.

Super Mario Odyssey is the only other game I can think of suggesting because it should be good but it isn't out yet and it is single player only so that isn't super useful for you.

For a single switch you will only need one copy for split screen gaming on the TV. You will need more controllers though but I don't know the exact details on it.

 

Well, I meant I guess you need 1 switch per player for that splat game?
