I've thought that every time i've seen it. I think to myself 'dual purpose' every time lol

 

So, this company that I have used for some of my passive earnings decides today to send out an email asking people to print a W9 and just email it to them. Not secured, nothing. And has also told people to just "take a picture of it" being complete.... is there really any bigger security risk when it comes to one's SSN than sending it in non-secured email?

I quit using them last summer when their ads served me a Kovtar virus twice in a few weeks. Only earned a couple hundred. Recently started again but only using the Roku option. This story will motivate me not to earn to that $600 point this year. Thanks for sharing.

I know the ad which did that. Thankfully my ESET took care of blocking it, sorry you got hit with it.

I plan to still pay my taxes on it but absolutely refuse to send something as crucial as a SSN through standard email, either by form or "picture". Have turned off devices running it (aside from main comp of course) and won't be continuing myself... shame my 3 new ones this year all were awesome until they all did something stupid. Oh well, just have to turk to make up the slack lol

 

Yeah, perk and rewardable tv have hit the skids as well.

 

AppTrailer is all over the place, but trending down since Perk started fiddling with it. I'm open to recommendations on a replacement for it.

 

Wish I had one. Don't really like any of the options. I don't expect to get paid for my last cash out at rewardable. They messed up something server wise, had a terrible front man on reddit and the app hasn't given any new points since Dec 27th. I turned off my last phone on that app a couple days ago.

 

Perk is well.. perk. I can still push $5-8/day, though not the $15 I was doing.... Rewardable is dead. I don't care what they do at this point RTV is just dead. YooLotto is in the same boat (RTV/YL were my new 2)... Swagbucks been goin strong near 7 years for me. Inbox Dollars, Checkpoints, Instagc... just wish there was more passive stuff but I actually understand the business side of it so ya won't see me Grinching and moaning like people do all day on reddit lol.... and Apptrailers no longer likes me because I had to replace my devices and they have a hard limit. *shrug* happens

 

Checkpoints isn't all that bad. It's certainly not as good as Perk when Perk was actually really good. In my opinion checkpoints is quite a bit better than perk is currently. You can have 10 devices per account. It takes a little bit of babysitting but not nearly as much as perk does now.

Speaking of which. I have 20 kyocera hydros that are pretty unusable in any of the current versions of any passive video apps. Anyone have any ideas on what to do with them? They're pretty shitty phones.
