I tried both and was denied because my dad makes good money, even though he's a dickhead and doesn't help with a single dime. Luckily I do my FAFSA through my mom who lives in a foreign country so I get full FAFSA and parent plus or else I wouldn't even be in college right now

 

Or having a gf who works at a place that recognizes domestic partnerships for insurance purposes

 

I'm pretty sure that you can stay on it until you are 25 now.

I do use the campus clinic at least, it's free besides the cost of anything prescribed

So your dad is claiming you as a dependent then not providing health insurance? That sucks! How old are you? If your dad is claiming you as dependent and you need to get health insurance I would have a serious talk with him.

 

That might be true. I thought the whole Medicaid expansion thing was done on a federal level though.
