Good point. A lot of people really don't realize how small the Canada population is. It is a lot easier moneywise to just pay for just 36 million people than 300 million people. Also they Canadians pay a lot of taxes compared to us.
Disclaimar my ancestors and relatives are from Canada. One thing they always complain about is long waits to see Doctors. Here I could make a phone call tommorrow and be seeing my general Doctor in a week or a specialist doctor in a month.
In Canada in some cases you wait months to see a doctor or get a mri.
What it is I think is the romance of the grass is always greener.

The older we get the more all you say seems true. Old sheep die off to be replaced by the new sheep.
I am 40 now, and my world perception is so much different that it was in the 1990s when I was a young guy. lol.

I think that pervo survey was only ~4 minutes

Still garbage land pay, but at least it wasn't a real 30 minutes.

I wish that was able to give proper feedback but I don't really listen to that sort of music normally. I don't hear anything technically wrong like the audio peaking or something stupid though lol. (I would be able to tell on my akg k240s most likely if it did)

I'm glad that you finally finished it as well :az:

I will respectfully disagree with you on this. I would much rather pay higher taxes than be over 100k in debt if my medical and the medical for my family was covered. I'm paying all that and more already in bills. I'd glady give it up to higher taxes. As far as waiting times on appointments, that's already hitting us here too. My husband and I have Blue Cross for insurance. Automatic 1-2 week wait for appointments, unless we're seen in the emergency room. My son has medicaid. 3 week wait for eye doctor, We're currently on an 8 month wait for his dentist, and he can only be seen by his CF doctor once every 3 months because thats all it'll cover. Even then we make appointments 2 months in advance. I have an endoscopy scheduled for him in January of 2018, that's how bad it is. Now if he were dieing and having an emergency, they'd get him in faster, but it shouldnt have to come to that for anyone. How many people end up worse because of a wait?

I know things are very deep rooted and changing just one thing isnt going to solve much, since you gotta change a million others just to work it out. But if they ever ask me for my taxes to accomplish this I'll throw every penny I have at them. lol[/QUOTE]

I don't know who your doctors are but I am on Medicare and get appointments right away. If I need an MRI I go within 3 days. GP within 3 too. Heart Specialist was the longest it ever took me and that was 1 week

I'm in a smallish area so it may be different. The offices here only take certain insurances on certain days/days of the month, which causes a waiting list. I called a week ago to make appointments for my husband and son. husband got in in a week and a half, same appointment for my child for glasses put his appointment 3 weeks out. Its crazy.

It doesn't in the name, might in the actual hit, which is lame. Can't you get paid a bit more to summarize an article into 75 words?

Having had to pay taxes on both sides of the border, I'll tell you that the difference isn't nearly what most Americans think it is.

Canadians complain about wait times for certain procedures, but about 90% live within 100 miles of the US border and are more than welcome to pay extra for that quicker specialist visit. I'm willing to bet that most people don't exercise that right.

People complain, it's what they do, but this idea about the grass being greener? I have never, ever, ever heard a single Canadian say they would trade systems with the US. You guys get fed a lot of bullshit about the Canadian system.
