Right, I know people who have gotten fired for their social media postings and they weren't even the most controversial or salacious topics. It was almost exclusively about making sure you don't appear to represent speaking on behalf of the organization.

 

Tourist stuff is fine (esp the falls!) but the residential areas have crime issues. They don't know how to handle the darker hours. Go visit, and stay in a hotel in Amherst, or one of the Tonawandas. Not Lockport though.

 

And that's fair. Without this background, it just felt like something people were putting on their profiles because it made them sound smarter. Now I am informed!
