Is there a way to set up Hit Finder so that when I already choose a hit I can differentiate it from ones I haven't? Like on hit scraper they would turn purple showing I had previously clicked on them. Or do I just ignore the hit after I choose it? Oh, and..........

1. a) Is my blocklist and include list already included in MTSuite from my previous HS settings? b) Is that what is on my HIT Finder database? My blocked hits?

3. Whats the difference between mturk.com and worker.mturk.com?

4. Can I choose how many pages to scan and how many per page?

5. Is the size box regarding number of pages to scan?

6. I see there is no box to uncheck or check for NO TOS, will NO TOS automatically show up?

I can answer a few of these.

6. They'll be grey instead of colored with TO colors.

8. Accept next checked is useful when you're working on batches... it automatically accepts the next available hit available in the batch if you leave it checked. Works well for Pinterest and Customer Interests, things like that.

9. Workspace expand and scroll automatically scrolls you down to the start of the HIT (not the top of the page) and I believe it makes it wider.

1. your block list won't be included. if you wanted to check that just click "block list" in HF and it'll show you what it's currently filtering out. i don't understand what you're asking in the second half of this question.

2. PushBullet Token is just an app that you can use to get notifications across your devices.

3. they look different but they're more and less the same. the important thing is they take page requests separately so if you're working a batch you can PandA on one and work on the other.

4. you're not choosing 'pages' to scan at any given time you're scraping the entire site.

5. size is just relative to the number of different hits that will be displayed back to you. you'll see it get bigger when you change it.

6. unless you raise the min TO setting yeah they're going to show up.

7. hits that you saw pop up while you had this instance of HF open, that may or may not be available anymore. "old hits". literally a log of the hits you saw today.

8. when you accept a hit from HF, there will be an "Accept next" button checked in the middle of the page where when you submit this hit, the next one in the batch will be auto-accepted.

9. just expands the hit to fill your browsers viewport when your working and scrolls it into focus.

other advice, you should read the wiki if you haven't and if you mouseover the question marks in MTS settings it will clarify more for you. happy turkeying.

1. I'm sorry I have no idea, but I would presume so! You can access it by clicking on the buttons that say "blocl list" and "include list" at the top when you're in a hit finder window

2. Pushbullet is an app that pushes notifications to your phone. You can set up MTS to send you a pushbullet notification if a requester shows up, I've never played with this setting though.

3. So not much technically, they look different, but they have different PRE pools. So if you run searches on one, and work from the other you'll get less PREs. Some people (like myself) run different pandas on each

4. Yes, you can set that with the size box. Not sure how many are per page though.

5. It's the number of hits to go for, so if there is like 25 per page, I just don't know off the top of my head. A good size to search for is 60 or 80, I personally do 100.

6. The enable TO box allows ratings to be shown if you're logged into turk optiocon. The minimum TO box is not worth using IMHO

7. Sometimes hits get snapped up so quickly they disappear from the log really fast, the logged hits shows you whats already gone through so if you wanna panda it you can.

8. What is accept next checked referring to?

8. When you are working on a nice batch that say has, 5 minutes per item, a lot of people (including myself) will work straight from the batch, meaning we won't panda it. If you click that cute little box, when you complete a hit and submit it, it will automatically grab another (in the same batch)

9. What is workspace expand and scroll for?

9. Not sure what you're asking here sorry!
