It'll get better. Make sure you venture out to places like Palmdale where there's a little more going on. Maybe see if there's an alumni club in the general area too so you're not so homesick. And keep looking at a map to count the number of states you've put between yourself and Matt's mom.

Closest Alumi club is 2 hours away :/ Honestly, I was feeling homesick in Georgia too and wanted to go back up North. The only reason I didn't is because I knew people in the town we lived in. I mean, I like other parts of CA, but this town is really not my style outside of the fact the mountains are pretty and I like walking my dogs here. Honestly, I'm considering going back towards home cause I'm really unhappy here and I don't think I want to live here long term at all.
