I like numpads too, which is why I have a separate mechanical numpad with MX Blacks that I can plug in regardless of how many keys I've cut my main board down to.

My favorite thing about having a separate numpad is being able to move it to the left of the board. That way, I can interact with the numpad and the mouse simultaneously if need be.

I never realized that was a thing but now I want it. It would be so convenient to use the numpad and mouse at the same time with my hpmework

You have to be careful with some numpad manufacturers, as a lot of them don't realize the importance of using actual numpad scancodes (some submit number row keypresses) -- which becomes a problem with any game or software that needs numpad keybinds.
