That's just the thing.

Humans aren't meant to have relationships that are segregated/sandboxed by hobby/work/interest/home/etc., like they are in the West.

Our minds are designed to share our entire lives with the people around us. Our ancestors evolved in tribes where they shared most of their entire lives with the same ~150 people (and their children, along with anyone else they might bring into the tribe) from birth to death. Everyone knew mostly everything there was to know about you and what you went through.

Trying to foist all of these roles on a single relationship to compensate for the way modern society is structured is a major reason relationships fail.

I really don't see how you're using his theory to be applicable to this discussion? His reasoning is there is an upper limit to relationships we can hold (ie, social media is more tomforkery than a monogamous, intimate one).
