    Having grown up in South Texas I was a cowboy fan (it's obligatory) but I got sick of Jerry. I do still root for them but I became a Saints fan when Brees was discarded by Chargers. He played High School at our rival school. At least he got one Super Bowl. ;)

    If I had to guess, Smythe probably thought their previous green jerseys were "too commie" or something. Or he was anti-Irish, since he also changed the team name from the St. Pats to the Maple Leafs.
