It was super tasty on a crazy hot Carolina day though. And the more you drank, the more it tasted like brownies!

I then had moonshine ice cream that was super strong.

Part of me died that day.

Unpopular opinion and no offense to anyone who lives there, but I lived in NC for a year and I HATED it so god damn much that it depressed me. I still really want to see Ashville, but I pretty much refuse to ever even cross that state line again. Then again I was living in Fayetteville which is like the armpit of the entire state, but it soured my opinion of the whole state.

Yeah that's not the place to be. My experiences have been mostly in Charlotte and just north of Wilmington and I've always loved it. I have family there too all throughout the state that love it, but I see where Fayetteville sucks lol.

That was the best awkward moment ever. As I’m being told about the history of the mill we are having a bbq at, and suddenly everyone looks at me as the owner’s wife explains how the Yankees burnt it down the day after the civil war ended (because they didn’t know yet). Suddenly, everyone is staring at me like I need to apologize.

I just wanted to eat my smoked ribs wrapped in bacon.

We have it around us, there's multiple varieties and honestly none of them are good IMO. Just like very average beers. I love most of New Belgian's beers but I won't even bother buying those anymore. Totally would for $3 though, that is a score.

I actually don't drink New Belgium that much because I don't think it's that great. It's okay, but there are so many better choices nowadays. I'm a little spoiled at the fair though because I go to the Texas State Fair every couple years and they have a world beer garden where you can sample like 20 beers before the ladies pouring get annoyed with you for not ordering a full beer. Riding that giant ferris wheel after that is the perfect time for a little power nap, so you can go do all the other fair stuff.

I've been to Wilmington and just thought it was okay, same thing with Raleigh and Cary and a couple other close by areas to it. Most of the people were really kind (the locals, being near a military base you get people from all over but the locals in Fayetteville were mostly nice), but nothing about the state did anything for me. I made less than Turk wages working there, and I'm a decently seasoned professional who makes a decent buck. This being said, I know literally about 5 unrelated people who have went on vacation to Asheville and literally just never came home and decided to live there, so that place has to be pretty dope.

Had a chance to tweak my Unique Turker script Notifier thingy earlier. Banner now uses a light orange background. Color can be changed to anything by editing the "background-color:" value. Pick a color here:

    Worth it.

YES, and several town members so kindly told me about wanting eat my "ethnic," foods please. They were trying to be nice though, so I smiled and offered them some sweet habicheulas. Other people were exceptionally scadalized by the fact I was a yankee and "a hispanic." Which is what Matt's mother says too, she does not dig it. I can't get the way she says it across accurately through text, but I'm guessing you know what I mean. She often followed it with bless her heart.

My mom was born in PR and my dad's family has been yankee Grinches since before that was a thing.

Yes! I was right! You should have really blown their minds (and our President's) by reminding them that PR is part of AMERICA!

Sorry southerners can be such shit, as you probably learned, "we ain't all like that"
