I was just thinking it'd stop the bottom from burning w/ the fat layer tbh. Wasn't even thinking it'd turn into a bowl

 

I might have to purge Josh Lambo for this shit.

When is the next purge you guys? I always mix up my dates.

 

I don't think bacon would work in the crockpot. If you had a metal colander that you think wouldn't die in the oven, you could probably make that bacon bowl in that and put a pan or something under to catch all that wonderful grease.

 

I've never used the crockpot bags, and never had much of a problem with cleaning. Even if it gets a little burnt on, a little bit of a soak with hot, soapy water takes care of most of it.

This is my answer to everything. Burnt on food? No problem! Ring stain on the counter? Psssh. Shower looking a little grungy? We got you fam.

 

If you put some soap and water in it right away then you don't have to worry about it. I just made red chili stew the other day and that red enchilada sauce I use stains everything, but my crockpot came out just fine.

 

Lol I left for a while because I found the flash drive that has all my programming courses.
I come back to PMs asking me whether I deleted my post, or whether the Reddit mods did.
Oh well. It's not 5am on a Sunday anymore. The post served its purpose.

 

I'm the worst with that kinda thing sometimes. Matt always claims he will wash his own plates or whatever, but that never happens. I have to scrub things out a couple days later more than I care to admit. Sunday is my catch up on dishes day.

I literally cleaned the entire house last Sunday and Matt's ass never moved from the chaise the entire time. It had to be like 6 hours.

 

@EssArrBee & @Hummingbirdee - The soak method is what I like to do, but it is also my weakness. I'll get stuff soaking, then go do other stuff. Fast forward hours, days, weeks, or years...now I've got a gross sink full of soaky bits.

 

If you live alone long enough you get used to pre-cleaning as much as possible. I'm pretty good about that as long as I stay outta the kitchen when I'm drunk. The next morning is not fun.
