By the by, I picked up my own little new Turker hub today. Cool solid oak kinda-ish mid-century executive's desk to replace my current flimsy plyboard hunk of junk. Way nicer in person than it looks in these pictures (these are from the Craigslist ad). It's stuck in my garage right now because it was pitch black by the time we got it home but I couldn't wait to share better pictures lol. It's in fabulous condition and I scored it for only $50, and will be going buck wild this weekend redoing my whole office. Hopefully in mostly vintage stuff but with Black Friday I'm not opposed to bringing in some modern wannabe stuff because I really really need to update this space pronto.

That's great. I have a personal finance blog and I have a bunch of affiliates but don't get great conversions yet.

Give it some time and I bet it'll be up! They can't even update your clicks throughout the day so reinstating an account will probably take 24 hours min. to take effect.

 

I didn't want to tell you, but I had an amazon affliate account thing, that I pretty much never ever used, because that sounds like work dude.

 

Haha that's actually from an abandoned account that was closed back in like 2003 or something crazy like that. They can't figure out how to delete it LOL. Just happened to be the default one set when I logged in, my actual account is back open and apparently even earned $2 while it was suspended they credited me with.

Being too lazy to turn off the affiliate plugin on XenForo paid off

 

I heard that amazon put an end to the "I received a free product in exchange for my 'honest' review" reviews a little while ago. Do people now get paid on the side to buy the item and review it?

I'm doing Google reviews, not Amazon, for the main source of that income. That being said I have hopped on any paid Amazon reviews I've seen that I feel I can leave an honest review for. I've done three so far, all this week. The way that it works is that you buy their item, they ship it to you and pay you a bit over what you paid for the item and you get to keep the item. I absolutely 100% refuse to do fake item reviews where I rate 5 stars for crap though, so I was really upfront with the person I've worked for that I'm going to turn down 90% of the work they offer me and that I'll be leaving honest reviews, not just 5 star.
