This is good advice for every single endeavor in life.

The Internet makes it really easy to compare yourself to the top 0.001% in a field and beat yourself up for not being at that level. Your mind wasn't built to compare yourself against the cream of the crop amongst 7 billion people.

If you feel the need to compare, always compare against your former self.
Focus on progress, not perfection. "Better than yesterday" should be your goal.

 

this is strange, I've done 2 sticky's since I've gotten my new computer....and failed to get the bonus on both of them. Prior to the new computer I got the bonus 99% of the time.

 

30. He's just one of those people with comical gaps in knowledge. I mean, I certainly can't go re-design the pneumatics of stratolaunch in 1/4 of the time they gave me like he can, so it's not like he's stupid, he's just missing a chunk of his programming or something. I actually strongly suspect he's on the spectrum as far as that ghoes, because he doesn't seem to do well relating to emotions/stories/other people etc. He relates to dogs and cats very very well, and I often will explain why say, someone might be sad over a friend's death, through using a doggo based example. I wish I could get inside his noggin for a few days, cause I feel like it would blow my mind.

It wasn't the mishear that made me laugh as much as the fact he just never noticed the lyrics of the song very specifically being about a violent werewolf ripping folks to shreds. This is a common theme for us, he will just come over with his phone and gesture to a song playing, because he wants me to explain it to him. This is why, when he suddenly starts singing an Aqua song word for word, I fall over laughing- because of all the music to actually understand the words to, he picks Danish Europop, in a cd he made entirely of angry screaming music, just an Aqua song in the middle that he has memorized.

For some reason lately I can't seem to get a bonus either, even though my computer and lighting setup hasn't changed.

 

Is the camera position the same as on the old computer? I get a Sticky bonus about every third time.

Thanks for the amazing christmas gift idea. A couple years back, I gave him a book where I scribbled all his misheard lyrics and I can hear him giggling from time to time while flipping through it.
