My daughter's school was completely off today, but they like any excuse to not have school

 

Man, the surgeon I just watched was excellent. hands down the best one I've seen

 

Just about any cheap vodka can be made "top shelf" if necessary by running through a charcoal filter, like a brita pitcher. The filter is useless after, so think about cost, but if you need good vodka in a pinch, there's today's "The More You Know".

I loooovvve mimosas.. I don't have them nearly often enough. I also am a tequila girl. I like to sip really good tequila (that other people buy; I don't have enough money for that particular hobby), shoot decent tequila, and make cheap margaritas with cuervo mix. I'll drink them while out, anywhere from cheap bar concoctions with lem-n-joy sour mix to ultra top shelf happiness.

Note that sweet drinks are more likely to give hangovers. Straight distilled liquors are better for your blood sugar. Get in the habit now, while you're just starting out, of drinking water while drinking to help prevent dehydration, and either taking magnesium or eating a banana to replenish electrolytes.

I'm slowly mentoring my daughter, but she's pretty much decided she's a whisky girl, and that's not my bag. She even made a Dr Pepper-Jack Daniels ice cream float the other day. Le sigh.

 

This time of year, this house goes through a ton of Sierra Nevada Celebration, barrel aged stouts, Belgian christmas beers(Delirium Noel, Scaldis Noel, BFM St Bon Chien, etc) and a few barleywines.

The morning is for coffee stouts and contemplation.

My University had classes Monday and Tuesday but we have the rest of the week off.

Nice! I wish I had the extra money. I did end up buying the Steam Link for $4.99 from Gamestop since I had some credit there but will use it with my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller since I don't have a Steam controller

 

Does anyone have experience with Black Desert Online? It's only $4.99 right now w/o a necessary subscription and I'm hoping to scratch my MMO itch
