I got masters at like 8k approved. I don't know what I did, I hadn't even been active for about two or three months prior to receiving it.

I saw that and thought, "maybe if I do a number of crappy 1 cent HITs, that will get me Masters." That was for a few days, until I thought "screw this crap."

50,000 approved HITs later and countless requesters ( I very rarely do batches), I am still clueless as to how to get a masters.

 

thing is I used to do all that crap including p9r's but in say the last 10-11 months I have better things to do meaning things I make a higher hourly on so I seldom bother with CI's and such unless there is nothing else going on. I don't need the numbers anymore and I refuse to cut my hourly just for some arbitrary qualification...but captchas

 

The amazon partner network is pretty bad too. Probably shares the same basement with the mturk team.

It's plastered all over the place, though, yet people selectively ignore it in favor of some community-driven superstition about # of HITs approved and approval rate. The evidence is all over the place that these 2 things don't make a difference, and people are let down because they read into a false narrative.

Does anyone know of or use any sort of Chrome extension that times how long you're on a page/tab? I'm trying to be more productive, and I want to aggressively micromanage my habits for a few days. I know the history logs what time you've accessed a page, but I want to see roughly how long I'm on certain sites, etc. No blocking (for know), just watching.

 

Yeah, if there's any rhyme or reason to it, I think it has to be:

Number of Hits
Approval rating
Total income
Bonus income
Number of qualifications


Presumably, the guy grinding out penny hits may have lots of hits and a good rating, but wouldn't have a large total income or any significant bonuses.
