    "Why people help newbies on here so much is likely due to the fact that the helpers tend to be low earners. Many, it seems, don't even really work anymore. They seem to have some self-esteem issues and get their confidence from being a "trusted source" on an obscure reddit forum."

    I mean, that guy actually had some good points. I kinda/sorta liked his post. I even up-voted it because despite being negative Nancy he's right a good bit.

    There is an incredibly high turnover & burnout rate on "helpful" characters in the mTurk space. That normally you don't see I haven't seen in other industries because those kinds of people can usually flip those attributes into profit (re: @Totally Not , 's points on scripting for free) whether that be financial or social or whatever. I disagree with the dudes assessment of motivations of a lot of those folks (though some.. maybe.. but no more than average I'd bet).

    There isn't a great avenue to be helpful and profit, so maybe not "low earners" but most definitely no one is being helpful on mTurk and maximizing their earnings.

    Its like he's kinda-sorta there, has a point, but its gonna get lost in the ugliness lol.

    I quoted your post to say something but it made the gif of the dude saying dweeb over and over again got really big and right in my face and it felt like he was yelling at me
