I read that if cats bury their poop in their litter box, they recognize you as the alpha of the house, but if they leave it out, they want you to recognize them.

 

what if you take a shit in there litter box and bury it?

 

Yeah it does. I just bury it for them, hopping they'll learn. My S.O. put a sign above one of the litter boxes that says "NO TROPHY POOPS!", but our cats hate the system so they do it anyway.

 

My verbal TA paid out, my critical thinking is approved and pending.

 

I chalk it up to the fact she was a street kitty that I abducted rescued and doesn't know any better

They never learn. My cat has an entire closet for herself to hold back the tide of stench

I don't know. I have two cats and the alpha always buries it. The other one is so twitchy that they sometimes flee the box mid poop leaving me nice little bits outside the box. So I assumed that not covering it up was because they wanted to leave the box as quickly as possible.

Then again my second cat is.... special. He often gets his foot stuck on his ear despite there being no reason for it. He just struggles with his paw pressed against his head as if there was a force preventing him from just moving it away. Then a few minutes later he realizes he can move it and all is well. The vet refereed to this action as "character".

 

I don't think I've done a block exclusion.. Honestly I don't know if I have lol
