Realistically I upgraded to the most amount of ram that I could at the time without throwing away ram. I started with 4GB x 2 and I bought 8GB x 2 to fill in the rest of my slots.

Meanwhile the dual socket epyc boards are able to go up to 2TB of ram

 

That was a smart choice on your part. I currently have just one 8gb stick so I should probably get a least a second one of those.

 

My father in law is such an idiot. He cheated on my MIL 20 odd years ago with a woman who completely spent every single cent of his money, and his savings, everything he had she spent. He got back with my MIL for a short time before he eventually left again.
