I am just posting vaguely Christmasy and/or Scrubs stuff.

 

Everyone is at work except me, this is the best christmas

*plays video games, tears streaming down face*

 

H3N2 is a Grinch. It keeps putting me through different levels of a gauntlet, like an arcade video game.

Level 1: Chills. Body aches. Sinus headaches.
- Short break -
Level 2: Temperature of 104 degrees. Brain feels like it's baking.
- Short break (feels better now that the temp went down, right? lol get rekt) -
Level 3: Gastrointestinal phase. Things moving in the wrong direction and whatnot.
- Ok thats over. Finally its all over... Right? -
Level 4: Both nostrils blocked. Lungs heavy with mucous. Can barely breathe and almost impossible to sleep. Back of throat feels slashed from all the coughing, nose looks like I've been snorting way too much of something. It burns. General malaise, probably because of the "not breathing" part.
- This is where I'm at now. Let's see whether this thing has new levels to conquer. -

 

Level 1: sore throat
Level 2: stuffy and runny nose
Level 3: ??????????

Sore throats are a Grinch.
I'm in a catch-22 where I can't breathe if I don't cough, but if I cough, I make my throat burn more than it already does.
I've used so much of this sore throat spray that I've started Googling to see whether you can OD on it.

Day 1: Think I have it under control
Day 2: Throw up all the things, watch your body refuse to hold down Zofran.
DAY 3: Rest in Pepperonis

This is the constellation of events for me I literally always think I have everything controlled Day 1 and then my body says, “ HAHAHAHAHA.”

 

my dad is considering the Chinese apothecary again. RIP me. i'll probably ingest some dead cat mixture
