Yes it is FAIR. I'm not a selfish person. Half the Federal Minimum Wage is fair IMO. No not Good or Generous but completely fair for a mindless survey that paid me $0.65.

 

We've been re-watching the Hunger Games movies and also watching the Netflix series Glitch. Been going out to the movies as well thanks to MoviePass. Really liked the Greatest Showman and I don't like musicals.

Thanks for the explanation. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one because I don't think it's fair to pay less than Federal Minimum Wage for WORK.

 

Depends on how you came to that $3/hr. figure.

If you paid attention from beginning to end, that pay rate sucks.

If you did 1 page, then watched some Netflix, then did half a page, then went to the restroom, made some coffee, came back, finished the second page, etc., then $3/hr. could very well be decent.

Wage measurements are only useful when you can safely assume effort and attention as constants.

 

It's not "work" though. This isn't a job. This isn't employment by any means. It's simply expressing an opinion for a researcher... If it were an actual Job I would agree with you completely If you want a minimum wage job I say go find an actual job IMO. Everyone being overly greedy will eventually cause it to be to inexpensive for these researchers and it will kill Amazon Mechanical Turk. If this happens there will be less easy money to make. So yes we can agree to disagree that I believe it is completely fair to pay me $0.65 for just over 10 minutes of my opinion. I didn't say it was Good or Generous. Just Fair. Have a good day.

As a marketer, I can tell you're very naive when it comes to the value of your attention.

$0.65 for 10 minutes of your time is an absolute bargain.

Do you have any idea what advertisers pay for an ad spot on TV to have a few seconds' worth of passive attention? Or that PPC rates that Facebook charges to advertise on their platform?
