Oh wow. This is so wrong I can't even.

 

If this isn't a job or employment does that mean I don't have to pay taxes?!?!?!? (kidding, I know I do)

 

Yes I am a Marketer myself and I know how much I spend on FB advertising. However this has nothing to do with TV ads or selling a product so not sure where you are going with this. I guess none of you have ever done Surveys on all the other sites that pay you $0.50 for 20-40 minutes before LOL! If you don't think it is fair then don't do it. Pretty Simple. Wasting my time here arguing on what I think is fair based on past experience with surveys. Again I didn't say it was Good or Generous.

 

Well that is your opinion and I have mine. If you don't think $0.65 isn't fair for a 11 Minute opinion. Then don't do it. Quite simple really. Rather than wasting time arguing with people and their opinions. Remember not everyone has the same opinions. I think it is fair for the survey and none of you will change that opinion. SMH I'm out of here gonna go make some more money while you all waste time arguing over what is fair or not LOL!

 

I think the disconnect here is that to many (I won't speak for everyone) here this is a job. It is self employment and we pay taxes on what we make here. For some people, this is their only job.

You may do this for fun and think it's great to get paid $3/hr for it. But it muddies the waters on reviews when you are going way away from the suggested ratings when doing a review. Which I believe was updated recently and suggested you don't do that. I would guess that's because many of us do this as a job. I make almost half what I make at my day job from turking so yes, it's a job that I pay my taxes on.

Nobody who has a clue in the marketing world would value their time at $3/hr.
You'd understand the value of an opinion, and you'd understand that giving yours is indeed work.

That's a pretty terrible comparison, but you can certainly find surveys like that on mTurk.

That's like saying that your new abusive SO isn't that bad, because they beat you with their fists instead of with a bat and/or razorblades.
