You seem like you do like every activity and go everywhere hahaha unlike me.. I literally went to elementary - college in LA.

 

Being from the Pacific Northwest and living here most of my life taught me to hate rain.
Living in Salt Lake City through my adolescence taught me to hate snow.
Riding bikes reinforced hating both.
Anything that drops from the sky sucks.

 

Don't trust TO ratings but you trust requesters? It has been my experience here that there is a VERY LARGE number of requesters who are out to screw over workers as majority of my rejections have been from shady requesters. I mean, any avenue there is to make money, or potentially get free work it seems after all the greedy nature of humans to try and take advantage of that.

If I see a TO rating that is the result of several hundred or less workers giving it that very rating, it seems to me that the rating would be consistent and accurate. I can see if there is a TO rating with like 3 workers that have published ratings. In that case I can see why someone would be skeptical.

Been working on this site for a few years now and SHADY REQUESTERS seem to be abundant.

If someone has a terrible TO rating I can't imagine its from most people not reading instructions, because I would think the number of people that actually read and follow instructions out weigh those that don't.

I just don't see the majority of workers who know they skimmed and didn't read instructions after they receive a rejection for not doing so going and posting a negative review when they were in the wrong in the first place and knowingly so. Ya sure, some workers will, but to say the majority would work in this manner seems like a stretch.

Bandwagon fallacy. Funny.

When I see several hundred people leave high pay reviews for a low-paying requester, I marvel at how the majority of people who use mTurk have no idea how to use it effectively.

You and I draw totally different conclusions from the same data.

But having been high-IQ my entire life, I'm accustomed to being right in spite of being in disagreement with the majority.
It's a common scenario when you're smarter than the majority. The consensus of hundreds of wrong people means nothing to me.
