Glad you noticed that pattern.

CIs have been patterned similarly for a while.

The key to beating the "throttle" with CIs recently has been to keep completing them rapidly enough that you dip to 1 or fewer. I set up a quick little "return to queue after boot-out" and "queue auto-refresh" set of scripts so that you end up redirected to the (surely-caught) next CI if you do them faster than your queue is filling with this strategy. Those scripts are on display in my 2 recent CI screencasts.
