01/21 - Spazzy Sunday!

I use Amazon's conventions for everything I've written in the last few weeks, no clue why that would even need further discussion.

 

Amazon's conventions don't have a batchOrSurvey variable.

 

They also don't have a metadata variable hinting to the collection tool that it should give up on a HIT after a certain # of consecutive failures to accept.

 

So you want people to agree that a batch is called a batch and a survey is called a survey? Alrighty, we're in agreement.

Can we call translation work "shittyheadphonetyperjobs"?

 

That RA survey gave me a treatable headache.

 

No, simply that batchOrSurvey is the name of a variable in a web+panda:// link that hints that the GID in the link is a survey or is a batch. If it's not set, it's a hint of a shrug.

Just like contextURL is a parameter in a web+panda:// link that tells where a HIT came from:

Pros:
Somewhat interesting subject matter. Simple survey part
Cons:
There is supposedly a chat/dialogue section for this that pairs you up with another worker. This will most likely affect the pay some based on completion time (The HIT I did had this part cancelled because my partner left the HIT). The Requestor initially estimated ~9min. and this took a little over half the time for me, bumping up the hourly
