01/28 - Swell Sunday!

I think my chrome updated. they are putting new features in chrome. they make it so we can't redirect the webpage with scripts. so if anyone ends up with a script that should work but it won't go to the next hit in the batch, that might by why. I can't figure out how to override this. there doesn't seem to be a setting to allow redirects in chrome. there might be a chrome extension, some look like they might fix this new problem but idk how to use them.

 

What script are you using? We might be able to figure out something for you.

 

Something for you to look into would be memberships at museums. I buy them for my family because a lot of them are used a multiple places across the country and you can get into a ton of things. I pay like $130 or $150 and we use them all the time. Just google museum annual memberships and you can find out a the best ones for your use.

Unfortunately the closest place to me with any museums at all is over an hour away, so we don't get there often enough for it to be worth it ):

 

Definitely research. We don't take advantage of stuff nearly as much as we should, but it's nice knowing it's always there, you know? Plus maybe we can leave Chris and the kidlette on their own one day and go drive around and get some food and do grown up stuff!

Lots of places that you would never even think are covered Museums, zoos, botanical gardens, it is very extensive at the amount of places that are available. To me an hour to travel is nothing if I'm going to spend the day learning or experiencing something new with my kids. I was just trying to help.

Oh no, I 100% appreciate the suggestion! But our Saturdays are taken up by sports usually, and the kiddo's dad likes to get one day a week to actually relax, so that's Sunday. So unfortunately we don't go very far very often lol. And it's at least an hour any direction to get to a place that has literally ANYTHING interesting (that isn't already free, my town does have the old military fort site that is the town's namesake, so that's kinda cool, but it's free to go in whenever).

 

Talking about grown up stuff, my friends and I are all kinda cheap. In the last few years brewry's have been spreading like crazy around here and they all do free tours and samples, so seeing that there are a bunch within a 15 mile span we take turns being DD and visit a few in a day. Kinda fun shooting the shit and hanging with good friend and only spending a few dollars on gas.

 

Sounds like you live by Fort Scott. I am in Kansas City Missouri and loved the fort down there.

 

You would be correct . The fort is really neat, but the rest of the town is gaaarbage.

 

KCMO is not always better but I do live here with my daughter for the museums, zoo and Worlds of Fun. We got passes for everything so it does save a lot plus when we go out of town.

 

We usually make it to the KC zoo once a year, and the other times we make it up that way it's usually to shop so we end up near legends/the mall in Lenexa
