Parker has the crazies today. All the hair left on her is fluffed up, and she's mewling like she's in heat (she's fixed, for a while now), and running back and forth all over the house. I think the snow is freaking her out? That's all I can think of. That and her youngest person going missing for the day must be driving her batshit insane.

My cat is following me around. He sits on me for about 3 minutes at a time, leaves, comes back...repeat.


Last night, Matt was his victim of choice. He just sat on his legs, and would warning bite Matt if he tried to move him. So, Bearnie got his way + pets.


This is Bearnie's house and we just live in it. I don't think he even knows he's a cat. He's just Bearnie.

Yes you're weird, but it seems kind of fitting for this forum and we love you anyway.

I am not at home during the day so I don't have a good window on what our cats do. Based on my observations of the three:

• Oldest cat spends most of her time moving between spots and yelling at the youngest cat when he disturbs her;
• Middle cat spends most of her time under a bed or curled up amongst my daughter's clothes which are piled on her bed;
• Youngest cat seems to alternate randomly between running as fast as he possibly can (intermittently terrifying one of the other cats who's in his way), going berserk batting pieces of paper around the floor (my wife scrunches up scrap pieces of paper and throws them around for him), and then tiring himself out so much that he collapses somewhere, possibly without regard to whether he's obstructing his breathing passages (see my avatar for what he looks like when he does that) until a human moves and then he'll anxiously run full tilt after them so he doesn't miss out on anything.

I found it amusing that Suri was part of that "oh, mturk workers are underpaid" study/article, when hits like his are often the problem.

 

There's no way he isn't doing it on purpose, he's kind of a douche like that.

Bearnie has a thing for ear plugs, so Matt grabs them from his job before he leaves, and just tosses them at Bearnie a couple times a week. He goes beserk.

When I took Bearnie and the other kittens in, I was fostering a female Carolina dog for awhile, and she took it upon herself to try and help mother them. She was particularly anxious about the runts, and Bearnie has always been the runtiest little thing possible. I'm 90% sure Bearnie picked up some of his social cues from her and that's part of why he's so odd. The other reason he's def odd is because he was so scared of people, I broke his people hating spirit and he definitely thinks tummy raspberries are just normal things that happen every day.

Me: Who's got a fuzzy tummy?! Pokes his tummy

Bearnie: Not again, fuck. Come on, we did this yesterday.

Me: WHO HAS THE FUZZIEST TUMMY? IMMA EAT IT! IMMA EAT YOUR TUMMY! NOM NOM NOM SO FUZZY!

Bearnie: Me...I have the fuzzy tummy.
