02/02 - Ferocious Friday!

We had a cat just like that, we rescued her from an abusive house so she just never trusted humans, it was very sad to watch, in the end we took her to a shelter here ( no kill shelter) and I think she finally found peace and happiness. I miss her.

Her name was Bella.

 

Aww, I'm sorry! People who abuse animals should be set on fire in my opinion. I have a lot of rage towards abuse.

Holly was picked up by me from the woods in the rain when she was a baby. She was raised around my boys, who are very social and sweet, and then Matt took her in and spoiled her like a little brat. She really has no reason to be this ill tempered. She just is a heinous Grinch of a cat.

I always hope she will be sweet one day. She will just cuddle with me and purr and love on me. This never really happens.

It's like when all your kids are super succesful and amazing, except the one who is like a serial killer, and you have no idea where you went wrong.

I just figure that just like some people are nasty no matter what, she's just a brat by nature. I can deal with her partially because the boys like her even when she's mean to them, and partially cause I feel responsible for her cause she was a really sickly little kitten when I picked her up and I swore to keep her safe. She will never be a lap cat, but she has a warm home and good food and catnip with me, and I figure that's a pretty good life for a cat.

Maybe she and Parker should be friends. They could fight with each other, wear each other out, and then both ladies can sleepily be my lap kitties!

Yes! About half of her spots are healing well. The other half she's still a bit overzealous with cleaning so they are healing much slower. Only one spot has hair starting to grow back though.

We're a little over an hour from Scott AFB (thought I don't think they do space) and 1.5 hrs from St. Louis. There's some small airports and from what I understand a really good flight school affiliated with the university. Doubt that's "good enough" though.
