I've had a wonderful day out and about, being spoiled and showered with wine by my wonderful boyfriend. Picked up a bunch of interesting bottles, and went to my first official tasting, where we met a French vintner/winemaker and got to hear her story and ask all my questions. Then we had super fancy food and probably the best glass of Bordeaux I've ever tasted. A+ birthday.

Now it is time for snacks and tv in bed. Probably including rabbit and hen snuggles.

I forking love the good place! It is a shame that their season finale is so early in the season. Thank goodness that they got renewed.

 

I neeeeds to find all of Season 2! I just finished Season 1 on Netflix, not realizing that Season 2 was on/finishing up, and I MUST WATCH THE REST NOW! Sorry.

Sorry, I only just saw this. I'm really sorry to hear that you've been suspended. That is like the most horrible feeling in the world when you depend on this platform.

There was no off-platform work in my case, either, though that was the reason that they eventually gave me. I had just put up a HIT for someone and I guess Amazon decided that I was paying too well for the amount of work that I was asking, so they assumed that the rest of the work must have been done off site. They suspended both me and the person that did my HIT. IIRC, it took me around ten days to get my account back. The other person technically had his suspension lifted by Mturk like a week after I did, but due to Amazon Payments apparently not getting that memo, I guess, he actually didn't get his account back until like six months later.

There is hope, though. Like others have said, just don't give up. You really have to be relentless with them. Getting your account back has to kinda just become your job. I spent hours every day just typing up emails and sending them to any Amazon address I could find. I would almost never even get any replies, so I would just continue to do it, every morning. And when you do receive replies, it's almost like they're intentionally worded in ways to be as discouraging as possible. They want you to give up and leave them alone, and I think most people do.

I have a handful of email addresses for various people at Amazon, like lawyers and stuff even, that I received from a couple people that helped me when I was going through this. I don't know how much help they would be (I sent them all a million messages and never received replies, but I like to think they were at least reading them.) I think I had the best luck, honestly, with the Jeff Bezos email and the contact form on Mturk, but if you would like those other email addresses or if you have any other questions, feel free to send me a message.
