    (The person at amazon payments that I talked to literally told me that she could open a ticket with their internal people but it would take them longer to get back to me than it would take for the money to bounce back into my account so don't even bother)

    You need to verify that it's yours again, whether that's a login via the fancy web based method or the good ol' 2 deposit method. But it's not bad. The problem I had was I was lazy and didn't remove the old account...
