Yes, I'm a total health and fitness nut! I went vegan 8-9 months ago to see if it would help my gut health, and so many of my health issues just melted away (along with like 20lbs, woo!). I try so hard to be healthy and I'm hoping that even if I do have it, my lifestyle will at least extend my life by a couple of years. Thanks @jessers , I appreciate the support. I'll let you all know when I have more info.

Thanks love, you're always so kind to me <3 I am having a bit of anxiety over it but you're right, no reason to freak out over something unknown. Time to drink coffee and grind away this anxiety!

I like the other Noah's, because it's filled with really cheesy romance novel sentences like

"He had to get her out of his mind , and he 'd already established the only way to do it - have sex with her ."

Going pescatarian helped my gut health a lot, speaking of that kind of stuff! I've considered stepping it up to vegetarian at times, but I don't know if I could commit full vegan (though there's amazing vegan burgers and vegan ranch I'm obsessed with). Were you vegetarian before or just fully committed to vegan right out the gate?

But anyway, good luck! - you know you always have the forum to give you any support :) And yeah, I believe I see you mention going hiking pretty often, so between that and your clean eating, you should be pretty well off!

I'm especially kind to those who show kindness first/back :D.

Take it from me, the best thing I ever learned to do when I am freaking about something that I (personally) can't change at all is push off the freaking out until I know.

    Good luck!

I've been a vegetarian off and on for about 10 years now, and dabbled in veganism a few times but I could never get over my own cravings for meat and cheese. Once I moved out of my parent's house, my mental health improved a lot and I was home all the time cooking food for myself and working on Mturk, so I decided to try again because my stomach has always given me issues, plus I watched a bunch of vegan propaganda documentaries and realized I care more about my health than I do about tasty food. (Also, watching my mom suffer through diabetes and many health issues also pushed me.)

The weird thing is, after about a month without cheese or meat, I didn't crave dairy at all anymore. I still get the odd craving for chicken nuggets and stuff like that, but since it's been so long since I've eaten it, I know it would destroy my stomach and I'm just like "nah". Going vegan forced me to stop eating so much processed food but the amazing thing is, I can eat like 5 meals a day and still not have over-eaten. Bingeing on vegan food is so guilt-free, it feels amazing. Plus the area where I've been working is super hip and has lots of options for me--in fact, the reason my boyfriend and I started hanging out is because his work has the Beyond burger and he offered to get one for me!

Thanks for the support, love! Sorry for the rant, this is one of my favorite topics. I try so hard not to be a preachy crazy vegan but it's helped me so much, I always like to share a little bit.

Chicken wings were my favorite thing in the world :emoji_sob::emoji_sob::emoji_sob:

A lot of alternatives have drastically improved taste-wise over the years and I don't miss a lot of stuff because hey - most of it I can still enjoy just slightly healthier! But I still crave chicken wings like a mother..

II'll show you some cool recipes or products if you're ever interested :) Anything to save someone's guts from the CT concoction!

If you ever have a chance, try the Beyond burger (not the beast burger, the regular one). It's the closest veggie burger I've ever had to real meat--the texture is SO CLOSE and they actually put beet juice in it to make it "bleed". I could eat ten of them at once, lol.

Oh, rant away! I love getting to talk meat alternatives and stuff with people because I don't get to very often! <3
I've been wanting to lessen my dairy intake for sure because I think it's part of why I still have some gut problems. I haven't had a lot of good experience with cheese alternatives but I learned a few months ago Go Veggie is better for slices (I had their shredded and hated it) and Daiya is better for shredded? Haven't gotten to fully test this yet.

You're not exaggerating. I couldn't finish mine when I tried one because it was too close to a real burger.
