Not gonna lie, I hate vegan cheese. The texture is ALWAYS off. I've had good luck with cashew cheese and it looks like Whole Foods is about to release a line of "nut cheese" (LOLOL sorry I can't help myself) that looks pretty good. I've also really enjoyed using coconut milk to get that creamy, dairy texture to food--it's actually quite amazing.

One other interesting thing about cutting out dairy: my menstrual cycle changed quite a bit. I don't have as heavy cramps and it seems like my period is a lot less heavy. This is purely anecdotal, but I've heard a lot from other women about how cutting out dairy improved/changed their periods in some way. I think the hormones in dairy have some influence on our estrogen but this is just my own speculation.

Idk if I'll be able to bring myself to buy 'nut cheese' xD but I'll definitely keep all that in mind and try that out! Thank you!

And I have really awful lady times, so that's more encouragement for me to get more serious about the no dairy thing! :O

Also never used coconut milk before. Would I like it even if I hate coconut? I love almond milk though, I buy it like crazy to use for protein shakes.

There is no law that says you have to strictly adhere to any diet.

Humans have cutting teeth and grinding teeth. We were meant to be omnivores.

If you want meat of any type on occasion, there is no reason you shouldn't eat it.

There are times when I only want vegetables. At other times, I really enjoy a good steak.

    Just my 2 cents.

We cooked Cod fish last night, it was my first time having it. Really like it, I could have been convinced it was crab meat. Just finished off the left-overs.

Whoever is trolling under his name really needs to either fully assume his personalty to make it convincing or just stop as they are doing a rather poor job at trolling by directly replying to him. At this point, I consider the individual that was banned and subsequently caused malicious script interactions against TurkerHub to be a mere speed bump/pot hole in the road and to be best left in the rear view mirror... Although like most speed bumps/pot holes taken at full speed I do laugh at the interaction.

I hear Miyoko's makes really great vegan cheese products. I recently bought their cultured butter and I love it. I sometimes make cashew based cheese sauces for pasta or tacos which I love because you get the creaminess of cheese without any heaviness. Softer vegan cheeses are definitely superior to hard or melty cheese, in my experience. Plants are so low calorie and nutritionally dense that veganism is sometimes hard for me because I have a fast metabolism and need to eat more calories than I do. Cutting dairy has helped my digestion and skin too though. ;D I wish we had the vegan options for eating out that you have in the west though. I want some vegan junk food. D:

Eww. Parcelquest finally allowed me to start using it again after the 1st of the year. I think they have a yearly quota on searches or something.
