Yeah, there are 2 main types: indeterminate (grows indefinitely and produces flowers/fruit until it dies) and determinate (grows to a certain height and produces all the flowers/fruit, then dies). Cherry tomatoes can be from both determinate and indeterminate, but I would assume the tomato kit they provided would be determinate so I'd give that a go. Have fun!
