Thanks! Unfortunately I realistically need a car for work. Suffice to say I have a long drive to work, working from home is an option for the occasional emergency but not long term, and public transportation isn't possible for my commute. I'm going to borrow a friend's car for the moment, and luckily we'll be in Oregon next week for a figure skating competition so there are ways around it.

And, also, y'know, first world problems. I'm more annoyed than anything. I just do not understand why they didn't say something on Monday, when I was in their office, and talked to multiple people to say "car's getting transferred to another repair facility". That would've been the perfect opportunity to say okay, understood, we'd like the opportunity to work on your car, and by the way please be aware that you are welcome to keep our rental car but the rate just increased by 93%. Doing it this way feels very shady.
