I am jealous of someone who can't remember their dreams

I dream SO MUCH every night. It's not as bad as it used to be, which leads me to believe it's probably anxiety related, something to do with my brain being overactive or something. But it was exhausting before I was on my meds because I'd be dreaming all night and walkin up from it all night. It felt like I never slept

 

exactly! i always have to ask people "is that a real thing that happened or did i dream it?" and they look at me as if i have 12 eyes, like, why the fuck would you dream that?... i dunno, i'm a boring person and my brain takes standby mode as "let's keep living life" mode.

 

I used to lucid dream often, and my dreams were always vivid. I had a bout of insomnia that lasted several years in my twenties, and I started smoking marijuana to help me sleep every night (it's legal here). It worked really well, but one side effect I noticed was that I never remembered my dreams during that period of time that I was smoking before bed.

When I stopped smoking it, my dreams came back.

welp, i'm going to the city for a literal sausage fest (+ beer). i hope the mturks is good to everyone.

 

I stopped remembering my dreams the moment I joined the military and started waking up consistently at the same time, with minimal time to get ready. I preferred to do everything at night (shower, shit, whatever) and be ready to go in the morning. When I was in my first barracks room I slept in a sleeping bag on a made bed so in the morning I could just roll it up and put it away, and my bed was made (we had some stupid requirements about our rooms).

I've always assumed its because I wake up at 5 every workday so my body is just "yo Grinch, we starting to wake up". According to my fitbit I hit rem

I used to have super vivid dreams and stuff when I was younger, kept a dream journal and everything. But now when I wake up (at 5) I instantly jump out of bed and get ready to go because I leave myself so little time haha. When I get up at 0430 I get mad and refuse to move until 0500 lol.
