    There are some wicked bugs in this area. I loved when the 13 year cycle cicadas came up. It was crazy. If you were driving on 13 towards Carbondale, it was deafening. Also, never saw a real life praying mantis til moving here. Those things are awesome!

    We have so many dear on our campus. I swear they must breed them. If you're out running around campus lake, you're likely to run into a handful of them. No bears though, maybe a bobcat, definitely foxes, also spotted a dead armadillo. Oh yeah, and a bunch of snakes. Like kill you snakes, but not on campus... more near me, in the bluffy area. Lol! <3
