My grandmother just passed away Saturday and my vulture relatives have already picked her house clean. My sister in law got some very expensive pieces and I'm like "Grinch you aint been in the family but 2 years"

 

I guess what I meant to say was I dont understand why an hourly script needs to store anything. Isn't it just that stupid thing , wrote that flashes the price/time on the screen as you press the submit button? I think I may be mis-remembering what script he was referring to.

Oh idk I never used his, TVJS does hourly & Kerek has an hourly wage script as well.

TVJS/Kerek keep persistent data in localStorage so that when you're done with the HIT they can display it on your dashboard/etc. Otherwise the data would be lost forever once the page is unloaded.

"localStorage" is site-specific, everything to do with the worker.mturk domain is stored in the "same" localStorage but it has no access to your gmail localstorage (or even your requester.mturk localstorage). IndexedDB is the same way more or less but more difficult to interface with.

LS is limited to 5MB of data, IDB is 50MB. Obviously 5MB should be fine for most websites you'd expect to visit and store some temporary simple data, but its not so much with all the competing scripts ALL putting their crap into the same bin. OW, PC, HF, TVJS, etc etc etc all have to fight for the same storage bin. TVJS only keeps data for 2 weeks b/c of this, Kerek (last I checked) was 30 or 45 days.

Some scripts, notoriously, don't clear their shit at all (the old AA time script on www was bad about this). Screw those guys. Lol.

Just found out my comprehensive on the Forester covers a side door window being replaced. I thought it didn't. YAY! Less pennies to have to spend! (Which is great, because I've barely been working the last several weeks).

 

Gotcha, that makes sense. The way I read his post the first time made me concerned someone may have been up to no good looking at some of his data.

It has been sooo long since I changed a comp PSU I almost sent it back until I remembered that you can snap the 8 pin 12V connector in half to us for the CPU 12V
